Heila knuckle boom crane service and repair
Bring your Heila crane to the shop at 906 West Gore St in Orlando, or call first and tell us what the crane is doing.
We have repaired cranes and the trucks under them at 906 West Gore St since 1989. We are an independent shop, not a Heila dealer, and we work on every make of knuckle boom crane and boom truck that comes through the door.
What comes in most
- Leaking or drifting cylinders: main boom, knuckle, extension, outrigger and slewing cylinders resealed or rebuilt
- Slewing problems: play, noise or a crane that will not hold its position, racks, pinions and bearings
- Outriggers that creep, will not stow or leak down: holding valves, cylinders and hoses
- Boom wear: slide pads, pins and bushings replaced and the extensions shimmed back into line
- Winch faults: a winch that slips or will not hold, brakes, motors and wire rope
- Controls and safety systems: control valves, levers, overload system faults and radio remotes
- Corrosion: seized pins, corroded switches and wiring on cranes that work around salt water
The truck under the crane
A tired PTO, a weak pump, low engine speed or a cracked frame all show up as a crane that will not do what it used to. We repair diesel trucks in the same shop, so a crane problem that turns out to be a truck problem is fixed in one visit.
Need a part for a Heila crane?
Read us the model and serial number off the crane's plate, add the part number or a photograph, and we will find the part and quote it, new or used.
Getting it looked at
Call (877) 697-6272 and describe what the crane is doing. Have the model and serial number ready if you can, and send a photograph if the fault is visible. Most of the time we can tell you on the phone whether it is a part, a rebuild or a shop visit. The parts themselves are on the Heila crane parts page.
Before you buy a used Heila crane
We inspect and repair cranes for a living, so we look at a used unit the way a buyer should: the cylinders, the slewing gear, the boom pads and pins, the outriggers, the controls and the truck or base under it. If you are buying a used Heila from someone else, we can look it over first. We do not sell new Heila cranes; used knuckle boom cranes and crane trucks are listed at drywallcranes.com.
